History

Established in 1981, Futura has experienced considerable technical and market growth in recent years.

Specializing in the design and production of twin rail o single rail overhead and floor conveyors, the company is today considered to be among the leaders in industrial handling in Europe.

In addition to the facility in Robecco Pavese (Pavia, Italy), where the design and production activities of the Futura systems are located, Futura has exclusive dealerships in several countries of the world.

In addition to the technical and sales activities the various exclusive dealerships offer immediate assistance and the prompt availability of qualified personnel to update and maintain the installations. What makes the company stand out in the industrial painting sector is the ability to propose highly personalised solutions.

The technical office has a number of designers who are able to quickly identify any type of handling solution, to suit the speed and weight of the activity, and to ensure optimal utilisation of space in the department where the solution will be installed. In addition to the conveyors, other solutions proposed by Futura involve specialised automated systems to shift items from one line to another, to facilitate loading and unloading operations and to provide solutions to any problem related to goods handling of any dimension and weight.

What makes Futura stand out is the activity entirely dedicated to research and development, with laboratories and test centres occupying an area of approximately 3000 m2. The production phases of Futura handling systems are highly industrialised: the company works with numerous automated production centres using robots, dedicated to the production of rail and curved conveyors, numerical control bending machine as well as stations using the latest technology for the laser cutting of sheet metal.

Futura occupies an area of over 26,000 m2, in which a production facility of 5000 m2 with an entire building dedicated exclusively to administrative offices and the design department are located.

Futura’s equipment can be adapted to suit individual needs and scales; it offers a very flexible operation and easy management, due to the use of custom designed software.

Using the skills and knowledge developed over recent years, the objective of Futura is to analyse and resolve any problem relating to handling and automation, so that every company can be offered a tailor-made solution to optimise the industrialisation of their processes.
